Don't be Shy! Mix and Matchify!

A post by: Pierce Atkinson

In today’s ever changing world, it can sometimes be hard to keep track of trends.  Not to worry, Fülhaus has got you covered!  One of our favourite looks in interior design right now is the mixing and matching of pattern, texture and colour.  This is a great trend for your own home or your Instagram worthy Airbnb rental.  Although this is an incredibly effective look,  it can sometimes be a challenge to pull off without looking like an episode of Hoarders: Buried Alive

1.You don't have to be an Interior Designer: Let FÜlhaus break it down...

When approaching this look it is best to start with a colour pallet, don’t be afraid to go bold.  This will ease the process and give you a sort of guideline to follow.  Below is an example from one of our favourite designers Anna Spiro, complete with colour pallet from Benjamin Moore to give you a better understanding.

2. Think outside the square throw pillow: Well curated design

Another great approach to this look is to incorporate different geometric pieces to add to the feel.  Rectangular cushions, round throw blankets and some interestingly shaped accessories in the right colour palette can make a big impact in a room.

3. A VERSATILE look, when done properly

Are you overwhelmed yet? Don’t be.  Keep in mind that the beauty of this trend is that it is very versatile.  You can mix neutral colour pallets and minimalistic aesthetics to achieve this look and even apply it to a table scape or your wardrobe.  Personally the brighter, the bolder, the better!  As a wise woman once said;
